This is misleading I've been to China many times They're counting anyone in a police uniform as a police officer, and so one would get the impression that there could be 2 million macho assholes with 9mm pistols roaming about 24 hours a day ready to bust a cap someone's ass for one reason or the other The fact is you almost NEVER see armed police officers in China You don't see mace, you don't see flashlights or sticks, you don't see attack dogs or anything like that at all You'll see a guy with a shotgun when the armored car stops at the bank They should distinguish between armed and unarmed police, because if they counted armed security guards in the USA who knows what that number would be?
