I am Deaf and have health issues threatening my sight I do not know sign language and I don’t think I could feel Braille either… I have peripheral neuropathy affecting both arms and legs I am probably screwed if I become DeafBlind Becoming Blind is my biggest fear because of that I am very physically disabled and very sick with more than 30 health diagnoses at 33 years old Playing games on my Switch, staying connected with people on social media or watching videos with subtitles is the only way I can keep busy and distracted from my pain and suffering This video was very interesting and informative though! ❤ Comment from : @iSheree |

There are braillers/braille writers so you don't have to write backwards There are also braille transcription programs so you can save your work and print it out via a braille printer We have come out of the stone age LOL You can think of slates and/or braille writers as comparable to pencils/pens and paper for jotting things down in print or leaving someone a (love?) note Very useful but we do have high tech for braille Comment from : @Blood_Eagle_wife |
|

It was always Never Eat Soggy Waffles in my life, and I refuse any other one Especially shredded wheat, because I like eating that But now I'm wondering, why is the mnemonic ALWAYS about what we should never eat, in English? Surely there are other NESW phrases out therebrbrAlso thank you for not just the lesson, but insight on the reading itself Comment from : @spaceyfireneko |

In college about 30 years ago a girl did a speech on the difference between a fiddle & a violin I don’t remember the terminology but the main difference I remember was the bridge that hold the strings 🤷♀️ It was a minor difference, but one she, as a violinist, felt strongly enough about to give a speech on it I can’t remember the terminology, but I remember thinking, “HUH, so there IS a difference” 😂 Comment from : @ItsMeNanaD71 |

New subscriber here! I am legally blind, just started using a visual cane, and considering learning braille as my vision might get worse I think my biggest struggle is cooking and cleaning How do you clean up dust and dirt you can't see? It is so frustrating I have had vision problems since birth but just found out that no surgery is possible to correct it, I'm crushed, but I am trying to learn what adaptive devices help with daily tasks Any advice would be welcome Comment from : @GamerofOld |

Ive had terrible vision since I was child after getting hit in the eye with a rock Over the years, my vision got worse so I was always concerned with losing my sight brbrWhen I was 12, I decided to learn braille just in case haha I would walk around the streets in my neighborhood with big black sunglasses with carboard stuck to the inside of the lenses and used a stick that i painted red and white to practice navigating blind haha brbrfast forward to 30 years later and my vision is unchanged LOL but if i ever go blind, I got a head start XD Comment from : @jr1648 |

Am I the only one in the comments that thinks Paul’s explanation of braille is very confusing I lost my site in December 2022 in my mid-50s So learning braille seems very difficult to me Maybe that old adage is true that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks Because I can’t see anything I just thought Paul’s explanation was very confusing Comment from : @jholly5747 |
