It's really important to understand - if you are the CEO of a pharmaceutical company, you're not actually asking the question of how can I save the planet The truth is that we are very lucky if the company is actually putting in policies that will simply slow down the amount that their company trashes the planet There is nothing heroic about this man and his "love" for the planet This is a stage for him to virtue signal The likelihood that he is giving lip service to the left and the current political correctness while being very republican and capitalistic in his actual decision making is very high

I think he just over simplified the possible threatens of AI as well as the minds of AI scientists and leader CEOs It is inappropriate to compare AI to the concerns some people had about mobile phones at the time, it's like comparing nuclear weapons to daggers Even if humanity eventually manages to control the potential risks of AI effectively, current caution is extremely necessary
