I never realized how large the crowds are If people haven't been as odd before, they sure are now⚠️ They are like Sheep that follow And now TRASH: it is an increasing problem A way to lessen trash is to lessen climbers You might think that less climbers is less money but if you raise the cost of each permit, there will still be people that will pay Thus, the country will be making the same, if not more, and crowded conditions (and death) will lessen! I don't think making it more cost prohitive would solve the high death rate After all being rich doesn't make one a good climber If anything for certain people it might encourage reckless behaviour They might feel it's their only opportunity in their lives to summit the mountain and ignore the weather, weakness or sickness Especially when sponsors are involvedbrbrExperience and health should be prioritized instead And of course the corpos which bring people up into the death zone should be better regulated

The craziness of all this is obvious when you consider that Mount Chimborazo (Ecuador) is nearly 2km higher than Everest (from the center of the Earth, and thus also the same distance closer to the moon) and Mauna Kea (Hawaii) is 4,000ft taller (if you exposed the underwater portion) Everest is just the highest vs sea level People are strange
