The other big difference is the use of attachments Home products do not utilize attachments and therefore cannot be as effective Attachments are applied to the teeth by the ortho to give the trays a tighter fit and provide grip for the trays to apply force

I'm losing my insurance at the end of the month, with no real idea when I'm gonna have it again My insurance covers a couple of at home brands, and since I won't be able to see a dentist consistently for a while, it looks like that's gonna be my only timely and in-budget option (and I still have to put it on a credit card) I don't think my teeth are horrible, but I don't want them to keep getting worse/more expensive to fix Is there any advice you can offer on brands or any big advice for people who don't have the dentist option?

I was 1 day away from booking SDC, being the naive impatient person i am, the next day (day i was planning to book) the news broke out they was going bankrupt, someone was looking over me because that was an absolute blessing in disguise, now going through an official dentist! I get that people have damaged their teeth with at-home aligners but perhaps they wouldn't be IF dentists did not charge $10,000 or MORE for Invisalign If anything is a scam, it's the price of Invisalign and I do not care how many impressions you need to take a trays you need to get made- even that does NOT equal 10-20K worth of teeth straightening I get that office visits and the materials cost money, but they do NOT cost that price Dentists make a killing on braces, especially Invisalign Maybe if the scam artist dentists would instead get a $5K option, more patients could afford that and stop doing at-home since at home tends to be $1200-2500

I used SDC but I went into one of the their stores for a proper scan over using the at home package I had no issue and am very happy with the result I think that was the big difference

I did Invisalign roughly 8 years ago to solve what was mostly lower front end crowding My teeth look exactly the same as they did before the treatment Absolutely no benefit at all Waste of time and money, but it was covered by my health spending account at work, so I guess all I really lost was time Oh yeah, and the sudden onset of a massive spike in cavities

I straightened my teeth with invisaline 10 years ago I did not like the end result and it was super expensive A few years later I corrected the imperfection with Smile Direct My experience was good with Smile Direct and the price was less than half I didn't think of the potential loose teeth issues in the future 😮

I’m shocked how many bad reviews out there for SDC I am completing my journey now and ordered my retainers I absolutely love the results, I receive compliments about my teeth and how perfect they are now It is a bit scary when they feel lose but you need to follow the procedure and also do dental check ups just to be on a safe side I loved the journey with SDC so far

I’m using byte So far so good, you just have to be responsible and pay attention to how your teeth are moving and feeling More like common sense If I feel my teeth are not ready for the next tray I keep it for a couple more days until it looks how it’s suppose to and it’s loose, without any pressure and I’m comfortable moving forward I’ve always wanted straight teeth and this was such an easy option, very happy about it as I see my teeth shifting beautifully, without breaking the bank

As a dentist its really hard to fix what these horrible unscientific aligners ruin We had a 36yr old lady with massive generalised root resorption Saving what could be, removing what couldnt, the replacement of missing teeth These additional stuff resulted in a much more bigger bill than a regular orthodontic treatment The only time these aligners work is when you have minimal crowding Like a lot of people want to look like the models in toothpaste ads, with perfectly aligned teeth; when theirs is only slightly pushed a bit here and there But in most cases like skeletal malocclussion, collapsed arches etc This is so dangerous People getting so mad at dentists who try to warn you about aligners Be prepared to pay thrice the cost in the future

Do not get smile direct club I used them a few years ago and they have shifted my bottom row of teeth to the point that my bite is off and now I have to get Invisalign as a complex case due to my bite Please just save the money to get invisilign or braces!!! Learn from my mistake!
