This reminds me a lot of how folx put a lot of pressure on vanity metrics While it maybe nice to see it at a higher number, it doesn’t necessarily equal sales (for a brand account), influence, or a real meaning if it can’t be backed properly

If any one knows which MLMers or even influencers are buying followers, report them to the platform they're doing it on Many social media platforms don't allow people to buy followers and if caught, their accounts could be terminated It might not stop a determined MLMer, but it might slow them down some It will also make what content they have up unavailable

Tooany people are trying to become "influencers" and, frankly, it's pathetic I work in social media for a pretty well known brand and the amount of requests we get hourly for "sponsorship" is irritating So many if them send a copy/paste form that they can't be bothered to fill out properly "Hi, [Company], I am a big fan of [Name of Product] and I am an influencer" No, sweetie You have 29 followers You're not an influencer 🙄

We’re gonna have more MLM coaches than MLM & someone just did a video of a girl from bodi who was attempting to sell courses… Bethany did the video I just found her she left bodi years ago The girl was ALLL over the place, no clue what she was talking about & it was clear she was used to her downline hanging on her every word thinking she was brilliant She’s not a true business leader & outside of those behind the scenes zoom trainings she sounds like a loon! No notes, no script & truly no point but buy her course It Doesn’t Translate out of MLM zoom trainings

This also reminds me of the entire field of "consulting" Why are we hiring some 22 year old recent grads to give us "insights" into our industry, when they have absolutely no experience?brbr(OK, I don't know if this is the entire field of consulting, but it's what every single work experience I've had has been when my organization decides to hire "consultants" I do not of course mean people who are subject experts and consult on their particular specialty)

yeah, I've worked in marketing for years, in fact before facebook launched! and now run my own business Very rarely do I get pitched anything that has any substance There are good people out there but you have to know what questions to ask to find them Also many 'influencers' got lucky or got in at the right time and now think they are experts!
