I had those Michelin LTX M/S tires they were the best It was time to replace those Michelin tires on my truck and after using Michelin twice I decided to go with COOPER SRX only because I wanted to save money I also knew Cooper are good tires too But boy am I kicking and kicking myself for not spending the extra money for the Michelins again These Cooper tires I have started out quiet but now they are noisy 😢 It’s probably the wear indicator these Cooper tires have I thought first it was a good idea to have wear indicators on the tires but boy was I wrong These tires have only have 9k miles and they costed $220 each Shit am I kicking myself Other than the noise on these Cooper tires they are ok but not as good as Michelin

I love the white lettering on all tires If they dont have it , i use a tire pen and do the letters myself It enhances the overall look especially when clean and tire shined up

I love mine I went up to the LT models from the p rated tires on my f150 for two reasons First, I tow a 6000lb travel trailer P tires can handle it, but are maxed out brSecondly, I have to chain up in the snow for hunting The p tires I have get permanent indentations from the chains do to the softer compounds This caused the tire to wear prematurely brbrI have 65,000 on my lt, and am hoping to get another 5-10,000 on them They have 4-5 mm left

I find these tires do ride soft , but I like tires to be a little harder due to handling control , I don't like the wiggle from the comfort but with that being said I drive spirited

I had them on my RAV4 and at 48,000 miles they were not fit for winter driving plus they had severe weather cracks between the treads They were supposed to be 90,000 mile tires but didn’t last I had them rotated and balance every 5,000 miles I know there’s Michelin fanatics out there that brag about how theirs last over the rating and won’t believe any bad reviews Besides the bad mileage they made you feel very bump and crack in the road! Not that smooth

I am torn between this or the BFG Trail terrain Not KO2 (too damn loud) BFG makes a Trail Terrain tire that is quiet on road but still retains durability BGF is made by Michelin anyways It's like saying BFG is Toyota and Michelin is Lexus lol

If anyone uses light truck tires, "LT", you can usually find brand new "take off" tires for sale Most are removed at the dealership and sell for less than half price The Companies that do this want more aggressive rubber for working in the bush

Thanks for the video, I am contemplating these for my 2013 Tacoma Did you ever get a chance to see how they did in snow/ice? I live in SD, winters aren't terrible, but we get some heavy snow occasionally Currently running General Grabber ATX's and didn't realize the tire shop I got them from put on LT tires, so much stiffer and louder I am imaging than these Michellin's!

I own a transportation company for the last 10 years This is all I run on my vehicles here in South Florida for me They are a 10 out of 10 in every category and we generally get between 60000 and 70,000 miles that is with routinely rotating with every oil change, and I am militant about keeping the proper PSI So trust me when I tell you over the last 10 years I bought hundreds of these never had an issue, highly recommend

I'm looking at the 275/65 R-18s to replace my R-22s to get a smoother ride with better pothole and rough road protection for my 2022 Ram 1500 Laramie Crew Cab 4WD Should I be getting the C1 or SL version? Odd thing is when I choose "SL" it gives me the LT version I thought it would be opposite since the C1 is heavier dutybrbrAlso, what thickness wheel/rim would you recommend? Mostly doing local and small highway drives with some time in the mountains on winding roads and some dirt roads, but somewhat rare

You can't go wrong with Michelins! Most pick up drivers spend 90 percent of their time driving on paved roads It's crazy to listen to noise from off road style tires while cruising down the highway I like the raised white letters It adds some contrast to the black sidewalls

These defenders are great on 16" wheels on my Tacoma However, the 22" on my Tahoe are not very good They are quiet but I get a lot of slipping in light rain, even when just leaving the carwash after a few thousand miles on my 22's Tread life is excellent in both sizes

If you really improve three or four MPG just off of those tires compared with stock tires that's incredible because the stock tires are not even hardly an all-terrain and they only weigh 37 lb each I think the michelin's are the same exact weight and everything so that's crazy I was thinking maybe one or two

These tires are badass in every single category just they look like a pussy tire but they're anything but VERY surprising! My truck is 🦴 stock I'm getting ready to put a set of Cooper AT 10 ply 265/75/16 it will raise the truck about 1/2 of an inch I'm sure I'm going to lose 1-2 MPG because they're 15 lb heavy per tire from 38lb up to 54lbs! But the sidewalls on these things are so solid if I ever have to go over a curb I don't have to ever worry about a flat🛞

I bought these tires when they first came out around 6 years ago I think they'll age out before I get them worn down to 2/32", I think I have 6/32" left or so at 56k miles Every time I get into another car, I hear the tire noise and am reminded of how smooth and silky the defenders are They absorb bumps so well after all these years Fuel economy is good I've used them off road and every time it snows I had all-terrains for the last 2 sets of tires before this and a set of all-seasons before that and I don't think I'll be going back to ATs I am interested in the new Defender LTX M/S 2 tires that recently come out, to these tires to see how they compare They don't have it out in my size yet, but if they do I'll definitely be interested to see if they are quieter and absorb bumps as well They claim to work better with today's heavier vehicles, so I'm a little concerned they'll be stiffer on my old "lightweight" 30 year old vehicle But the 'piano' tuning sounds like it might be promising

13 years as a tire tech… Michelin are one of the best tires made today…matter of a fact other tire companies copy the tread pattern of the Michelin I do not get paid from this company I have them on my 2019 Toyota Tundra and my motor home Great review God bless the USA Oh and white letters out
