Even more significant would be the tuning or frequency the key signature of the music tempo and modes being applied in the piece being listened to thats the real differentiation between the 2 artist and why the have the designated effect it may have nothing to do with preference what so ever and the state of the brain according to those designated parameters this would be the true significance that causes different mental states

rock, country, metal, etc makes you sad or down, even if the lyrics are happy, because it is all made from a blues scale, with minor notes and a pentatonic scale music can immeditiately change your body, depending on the notes being used this is why it's used like it is in ads, movie scenes, etc just listening to music can make you angry, sad, horny, happy, etc all depending on what scale it is from

@gck86 Thanks gck 86 I am 54 and I have Alzheimer Some people believes that classic music is the "only" therapy; in my case, i listen all types of music, but the HEAVY METAL "reset" my brain really I feel peace in my mind, because the "healthy neurons" works at the same time for enjoy that music !!! :-)
