what I got from this is that he doesn't want people in positions of power with law, you literally have the capacity to change the landscape of the country on a political and legal scale With finance, you have the capacity to control the country's economic status Elon is playing the game of deterring any future individuals who will uproot the corruption in America and convince them to be 9-5 slaves I say that because "we need more people to make things" is a very subliminal message Yes, we need more entrepreneurs, but look at how many people are already entrepreneurs And in order to get funding for a new business venture, more than likely you'll have to work a 9-5, and most businesses fail within the first 2-5 years anyways

There is some engineering disciplines that are oversatured too MechE,ChemE and Aero to name some In 2022 there was 21k jobs for chem engineering IN TOTAL of the entire US but 13k graduates I think a big problem is people going into the oversatured engineering majors Meanwhile electrical and civil is actually in demand
