Once we get computers involved I think all hand graded coins will probably lose value and tech certified coins will be the final grade probably worth more?

The only thing I don't like about that series of Byzantine gold is the fact that the coins are cup shaped There is no holder that is convenient, and the coins don't fit nicely into boxes Definitely historical, though The only Byzantine gold I have is a solidus of Justin II I got it decades ago for $160 It's worth more than that in melt now

I suspect that AI will first be used to screen for coins that shouldn't receive a grade for various reasons and to propose a grade for humans at the grading services and auction houses to determine how much time to spend on each piece Eventually it will get good enough because of enough feedback to create the training data be a lower cost service (Machine Grade MS 645/66)

I’d be curious to see how AI catalogs or even ranks beauty beholden to the human eye/brain Specifically and to the point, toning Btw is artificial toning always a product of tampering/improper cleaning? I ask because our of hundreds of silver sets one is toned, inside their mint case, I’d be very peeved if I sent them and came back artificially toned Is there a difference?
