Is there a check that an apparent asystole is real and not a pulled out lead or otherwise loss of signal before corrective actions are taken? You can't waste any time, but crunching some ribs with CPR when something just got unplugged could be problematic A well designed system would indicate that the connection is good, the signal is being received, and that it is a true asystole - is that the case with these machines?brbrGot the opportunity to observe a telemonitoring room recently, and I now recognize a few of these from those screens Thanks! Also, a lot of people on animated shows have some seriously messed up rhythms

You shouldn’t be teaching sinus tachycardia is not 100-150 I’ve seen sinus tach in the 190s on heat stroke pts

I’m reading that defibrillators only work when there is still heart activity, not flatlined Are all the tv shows bs?brYes apparently they are Flatline is just so they can get the beep on tv show, but means not recoverable

It is a blessing that people are willing to put all their time and effort into understanding the technical aspect of our body so that they can take care professionally based on what they can make out of the measurements from their equipment and tools And the technical aspect of a human body requires a much greater feeling of responsibility because we are talking about human lives and not machines, infrastructure or architecture for example Thanks for this video!

I'm reviewing for a test I have to take and pass in order to get a contract at a hospital, this video was very straight forward and informative There are too many video's on this topic that include a lot of fluff and irrelevant information The instructor reminds me of the instructors I had when I started my first nursing job 7 years ago I had 2 weeks of classroom training that went into great detail of EKG interpretation Mercy took over and they fired all the instructors, replacing them with computer modules God be with you if you end up in a hospital today
