tbh Keynes was not really socialist he said that capitalism was a good system but with more interventions of the government

Keynes was literally a champagne socialist and probably disdained the beer swigging working man Maynard loved being feted by governments when he trotted out his superior theories on a subject he never studied at undergraduate level Hayek lived his subject and knew from experience the danger of government supposedly caring about the populace but only so that they can grab the power they need to enrich themselves

Keynes seems most famous foradvocating extra government spending during downturns Many politicians on all sides must love this as an excuse to run permanent defecits Pretty sure he didn't advocate this at all parts of the cycle

Ok, first of all good video and good explanation But I couldnt disagree more on the last sentence ok lets play a game tell me one successfull and rich socialist country that didnt went bancrupt and or produced poverty, inequality and lower standards of living including the fact that in a lot of these countries people literally starved to death well there is none, so capitalism is the winnerALWAYS But to be fair there are one or two good ideas from the left like social backup systems
