As you mentioned, for some people (unsafe neighborhood, untrustworthy family, etc) it might make sense For me, the cons far outweigh the pros Since COVID, my bank won't even let customers inside the building without an appointment 1000 lb safe and a home security system solved any need I might have had for a safe deposit box Comment from : @douglaswilliams6834 |

NEVER put you gold and silver in a safety deposit ox because after 2001 the patriot act allows all banks to go through your box at any time if they wish and you can do nothing about it The bank can confiscate all precious metals in the box and keep it as long as needed if they or the feds think you are doing something wrong and they can keep all precious metals as long s they like until they figure you are doing nothing wrong Comment from : @Beachbumartist |
