Main reason I would run a stubby grip is stories from guys heating up the rifle and using the grip to keep from burning their hands on the handgaurd Also room clearing grabbing that grip can help prevent someone snatching the barrel

Not too many people use VFG as an actual VFG They use it as hand stop If they do use as VFG it's because they are training and their MLOK rail gets too hot to handle
