and I think the ping test is bass ackwards Silver demonstrates that nice 'TING' ring sound, usually for coins I doubt that it would be any different for silver bars

Many people don't understand that alloys are harder than pure metals The harder the metal, the longer and more 'rich' its ping sounds like Pure silver is soft, therefore its ping should be shorter and duller
