Got an svs sb2000pro that plays down to 15hz in my room ( 12hz at -3db)brBought two klipsch subwoofers to test (c310aswi) and they fall off around 27hz or so Doesn't matter how many movies I watch, those 10" klipsch subs just so good I showed it to my brothers One of them is a DJ's and has kef system at home and jl audio setup in his pickup truck Both my brothers agreed the two 10" klipsch sounds better My dj brother said it best: they are just punchier and tighter brWe listened to some scenes back to back Like the race scene in ready player one, staircase scene in tomorrow's war, beach scene in the edge of tomorrow along with the beginning of that movie The only time I could tell the svs go deeper is a single note in that beginning shot of that edge of tomorrow, which was louder for sure All the other times, both my brothers agreed that the two 10 inch ones just imply better Go figure I am hunting down a used svs sb2000pro to test them in a pair too, but every day I am thinking about just selling the svs I just watched the new apple movie; The Gorge, and these klipsch subs freaking ROCK I know, I know 99 of you will say you can't and will never live with a sub that can't go below 15-20 hz and some of you just gonna say: keep whatever sounds good to me

Or two 12 inch subs will work in a Smal or medium size and room placement will make a difference too but even just one

I have similar size room would still recommend 2 subs but different drivers 1 13” woofer front and smaller one in back 10” ?

One larger sub is and will always be superior to, two smaller subs Dont waist your money or time buying smaller multiple subwoofers over a large subwoofer Eventually, you will add another large subwoofer and your home theater will sounds 4 times beter than four small subs One big sub will out perform 2 or 4 small subwoofers

I want to run two pb16 ultras I currently have two pb 1000 pros I love em I just want to experience the insanity of running dual 16's But its such a large investment for room shaking Was considering getting another pair of pb 1000's just to have 4 subs which is just a silly

My dilemma is having the SPL 150 and wanting to upgrade to dual subs with one of Klipsch’s new RP1600’s or the yet to be released “Beast” Do I just simply add one of those subs and keep the SPL150? Or try to sell it and get 2 new ones which is the more expensive and difficult option

The eternal question that has not only plagued home theater owners but also pizza lovers! Do I get a large pizza (12 inch) or 2 medium pizzas (8 inches each)? It's not an easy question and one that everyone will struggle with during their lifetime Just like with pizza you get more Bass with the larger pizza - that's just mathematics However, with the 2 medium pizzas you get more crust which equates to more even response throughout the room and you also get more topping choicesbrbrThere are some very affordable 15 inch subs that are cheaper than my 8 inch SVS 3000 Micro and seem to perform well Unlike cheap pizza, you don't have to eat them and put your life on the line making them a more palatable choice😁

4 x 10 vs 2 x12 vs 1 x 15 I think when family and friends share the same hobby the battle rules more than when you're the only one in a family with ht addiction so my 4 times 10 inch hitting hard enough for my space and people 2 enjoy enough

My sub setup employs 4 12's, in a pair of Danley DTS10 tapered horn subs In a 5000cf room, they have output beyond what will be used and are flat to 12hz So remember, there are more variables than driver size As you guys said, it's impossible to give a blanket answer All situations will be different Wish I had some local guys to chew the fat with like you guys have established

I think the dilemma most people like myself faced is already owning a 12 and on a budget deciding whether to buy another 12 for balance or buying a single 15 and having to wait later on to buy another 15 I bought another 12 and am happy with that decision

Why not get a 24-in sub for every corner of the room? 😂😂😂brbrIn all seriousness, with a smaller room, provided that it doesn't open to another space with an open doorway, you'll get lots of room gain in a space like the one described in the question 2 decent 12s will probably still give you plenty of ULF, especially with any kind of DSP in the picture
