There’s a beautiful 1/2 oz Gold coin from Laos it is a 2004 Black Gibbon hologram coin it definitely belongs in your collection they only minted 888 total and I think it’s one of the most beautiful coins I’ve ever seen

You can also make money buying fractional gold too, somtimes they make lower mintage in fractional coins which is profitableI only use to by oz's but fractional has been somtimes profitable too

Selling on Ebay you loose 15 - 20 or even more depends what you're selling from what you originally paid and not only that you have to sell it lower from the large dealers since the average buyer trusts them more than the casual seller,do the math

Do you try to wait for low spot prices, that is do you try to time your purchases of these rarities or do you simply try to buy them when available for the lowest price you can find at that moment even if spot seems somewhat high at the time?
