I have a question and thought this might be the right place to get som answers and opinions Im boulding a soumd system in a Mitsubishi Lancer sedan and i cant decide wether to go with (4 Alpine Type R 12 2000w rms) or (2 Alpine Type R15 1000w rms) or (2 B2 Audio Riot 15 1500w rms) In my current car i am running 2 Alpine Type R 12’s of a Stesom Vulcan 3000 2ohm and i absolutely love that setup, but i would like a little more😂brbrI have aoready purchased a Taramps 5000 2ohm so i have plenty of power no matter what i end up going for So i might need some help to decide what i should be going for I dont need recomendationes on other subs, i want Alpine type R's or B2 Riot’s But what should i go for? Why not use 2 evl 12s and 1 evl 15? The question here is which setup is louder 2 12s or 1 15 Using sdr vs evl isn’t really a good comparison It would make perfect sense if that evl is louder than those sdrs I’m interested to see the outcome! 1:13

Also depends on what you are looking for What kind of music do you mostly listen to brFast moving bass or lower frequency slower bass If accuracy matters to you maybe the 12”s are a better choice Personally in my experience, 15’s hit the low frequencies with ease and smoother than 12’s Yes there are so many different variations I have a SQ system I run two 12’s in the back and one ten in the front footwell 12’s produce the lower frequencies and the 10 gives me the fast accurate chest punch that compliments my 8” mid bass perfectly brCrossovers are brRear 12’s are 0-50hz brFront 10 is 50-100hzbr8” midbass 100-270hzbr35” mid 270-3850hzbr1”Tweeter 3850-20khzbrUse a Helix DSP ultra

great comparison but I am a little sad to see the dB numbers Early 2000's I was running 1/4 the power to a single 12 and metered at 1488 dB @ 47hz This was in my daily driver that I built for sound quality I would love to have some BOOM in my car but the new "tech" doesnt impress mebrbrThis video saved an "old school" basshead thousands of dollars and even more in disappointment Thank you!

There's no replacement for displacement, you test is null if the xmax of the 15 exceeded both x max of the 12s

Interesting Most subwoofer companies I’ve seen Now this is based of doubling box cubic volume for a second subwoofer For instance, Stereo Integrity sql 12” wants 15ft^3 for each so it would be 3ft^3 total box volume But they want 425ft^3 for only one 15” So it would be a a MUCH bigger box with just one 15” vs two 12” subwoofers

My question is when you look up competition speakers they all have this big thick rubber or foam surround, but yet Memphis M7 12 inch subwoofers and their mojo series I'll have a double stitched twin edge surround, that they say allows more ext More air flow, there's speaker prices are more per speaker than the average, the sound quality sounds excellent their speakers are made superbly with the vents to cooling the frames, etc none like I've seen in any previous speaker but yet I never see any of them in competitions why is this? also I never have seen a amp test comparison or a review on them except from the manufacturer so I wish that Someone would do a review and Comparison on the m7's and the Mojo's, against other speakers to see which ones are truly the king and Why Please n TY

12s are always louder at higher frequencies than 15s They punch, hence why i hate 12s I like BOOOOM and thats why i like 15s I can full send it with 15s and music is crisp and bass travels 12s on the other hand dont travel but punch your back and ear drums so you gotta turn it down

3 10"s vs 2 12"s vs 1 15", all the same EVL or same line from whatever brand(deaf bounce, sundown, incriminator, SKAR) Which setup gets the best bang/boom for your buck Of course all 3 setups matched to cubic feet & RMS watts in the same vehicle So for instance would 2 skar evl 10's hit harder than 2 12" evl's or 1 15"??? Or maybe swap the 15" for a 18" but not everybody can run a 18 so the 15 may still be a better choice brI'm trying to decide which way to go now myself Im currently running a single Memphis mojo pro 12" in a skar 20cft box on a skar rp1200 @4ohms(500watts) Im trying to figure my next move & running the 2 12's side by side wont work in my Acura TSX So do i run 1 deaf bounce 3512 in a 265cft box, add another skar single box with another Memphis Mojo Pro or up size to a 15" skar evl in a 315cft box???? Im very happy with the single mojo pro but of course i want more bass😂😂😂

I have two 15” DDS SKAR subs couldn’t fit in my Caddy Had to buy one single 12 tube by SKAR Sounds loud and good but not the same The 15’s not only sounded better, you actually feel the shaking of the subs and the car vibrates as well The 12” woofer sounds good but no feeling behind it 😢
