Get your resume in order and your references Spend your spare time studying to be better at your job Your education didn't end when you graduated The most valuable book you will read is "The Ideal Team Player" When you go into your next interviews, your attitudes and behaviors should clearly align with that book They know you're new to the job Everyone starts out new What they want is someone who is hungry to learn, humble (willing to own mistakes and strive for continuous improvement) and to have people skills You don't have to be extroverted to have people skills

Maybe he is lacking in areas that aren’t taught in school Like work ethic, efficiency, professionalism It would require insight for him to see if those are problems that he had in workplace instead of using escape mechanisms as justification for poor work on a job

😑 brI want my family to have equal care from all providers A PA who is not meeting expectations should definitely consider a fellowship brbrPAs have 6 years of training, an NP 6-8 years, and a physician has at a minimum 11-15 years of training It’s NOT just “confidence” and he may in fact need more education to avoid causing harm, or being sued brbrI love Dave Ramsey I watch almost all his videos He is GREAT at financial advice, but should consider avoiding giving advice in regards to medical training in a mid level with 5 fewer years of training than any physician, who was fired over lack of skills

My daughter got her masters for OT and walked into a 75k job with zero experience There are plenty of jobs out there for PT and OT Likely they told exactly why they let him go and he needs to fix that and find another job

Would've liked to see them go into the details a bit more (with permission obviously) I know it could be painful to dig a little here But I think it would really help the long term outcome Easy to say just go get another job Sometimes it can be hard to find the right lever to make it happen

I hope the caller goes and finds another job as a PA! I worked ICU/trauma at 3 different hospitals First two were amazing they helped me and were great as a new grad I left for a job closer to home and I walked into a madhouse! Everyone was having affairs! There was a little group in my department of hens who did not like me They started rumors, harassed me, made up lies to trying to get me suspended I finally told my husband I couldn’t do it one more day!! I left and found a great doctor to work for! The medical field is no joke! It’s like military! You have to get thick skin and learn how to stick up for yourself!

Laid off as a physician's assistant? All we keep hearing is that there is a massive shortage of all medical personnel and that's why we need to go back into shutdown In this area we were told that there were not enough hospital beds, when that was debunked, they said its because we don't have enough medical personnel

A PA can get a job He does not have the experience for maybe a 90k job, but certainly he can pick up a 70k job with expectations that he is learning and in a year be evaluated for a raise

Pas are generalists Most rotations in pa school are only 4-6 weeks, so you get basic knowledge in a little of everythinG, but most new grad PAs still need on the job training (or a fellowship) I agree with Dave, now is the time to get a job quick
