Those are called thermals, a mirage is just a rookie term and if you know your weapon as well as you do you might want to upgrade your verbiage, from Mirage to thermals just makes me laugh out loud when I hear you say Mirage

I almost gave you a thumbs down for not taking a shot so that we could at least see the vapor trail Lucky for you , I am a very forgiving man I have the small Leupold 15-30X50 I bought years ago I use it to to spot 22 lr holes at 200 yds using Shoot N C target That Athlon looks like a great option to replace my Leupold I believe with the small increase of mag and the larger objective it would do great at 200 yards for my 22lr shooting I have a beast also the Nikon Fieldscope 25-75X82 with ED but sometimes I don't feel like lugging it to the range I mainly designated now to disgiscoping as my wife loves photography brGlad to see you are using a stable platform for your scope Many people cheap out on a tripod and have an expensive scope that renders it useless because the tripod is unsteady I have the Manfrotto 055B Pro Next time you have your rifle set up at the range and you make a video and not shoot it you get the big thumb downdon't tease us like that again 😢

One of our team shooters brought that model spotting scope to one of our practices before the Wilson Match I was very impressed with it and bought one myself I ended up with a different carbon fiber tripod for about half what you paid for the one you showed but it's been a great combination
