I am currently doing my research in TIFR, and I must say funding is a huge part of research in experimental fields For theoretical research, the institute only matters because you would find great professors there I would say, being in a good institute is really important because otherwise, it would be extremely difficult to get a good postdoc So if you plan to do PhD please do it in a recognized institute, or you can do a good project for a while, for admissions in US/European institutes (try only top 500 QS ranked) Comment from : @OverhallOvernight |
