Thanks for the vid I inherited 32 common date Morgan dollars and am now working on building a date set 16 coins fit into the date set and I'd like to sell/trade the other 16 to fund the other coins faster, but I'm still trying to get a handle on grading Until I better understand grading I know I wouldn't get good value for my coins so I'm paying cash for nowbrbrI'm finding the difference between AU and BU tricky, what counts as full luster, and what counts as cleaned I'm just looking at graded example after example and will figure it out

I also think it’s odd that the Dansco album has a slot for the 1895 Philly, which was only minted as proofs There’s no spot for proofs on the other years…🤷‍♂️

Finished my Morgan set last year with the 1893-S Got mine in VF25 A couple dealers told me that I should have started with the 1893-S, all downhill from there! Now I’m looking for an 1879-CC in a GSA holder to complete my GSA set

I keep an Excel spreadsheet that I update about once a quarter with what I’ve purchased, what it’s grade is, my cost (including shipping and buyer’s premium), with additional columns for PCGS Price guide, NGC Price Guide, Numismedia Price Guide and Greysheet CPG (retail) and Greysheet Bid (wholesale) as comparisons Knowing PCGS and NGC are high retail I keep about the last 4 quarters so I can see pricing trends

Jumps don’t apply to a circulated set only makes big jumps in uncirculated grades and if one coin is uncirculated you should have it graded if you want get max value out it

Circulated Morgan’s just do nothing for most people it has to be uncirculated for it to be at my house and it needs to be super nice coin ms65 or better

From all my albums including silver dimes and such the Buffalo nickels is the skinniest of em all That thing got 3 confirmed dates CRH Compared to that I’ve found wheaties by the rolls After that my Barber half’s is next
