Just came back from Istanbul with these prices they shouldn't complain about a drop in number of tourists Not to mention taxi drivers who never know - or pretend not to know - English and try to increase the prices according to their own desires despite the reading of the meter!! No auber of course so taxi drivers can loot as much as they wanttoo crowded too polluted too expensive

I think you will find turkish airports have crazy prices Dalaman airport 10 euros a coffee In marmaris I was charged £5 1 ice cream on a boat trip in Marmaris Most people will go all inclusive no one will go self catering anymore I remember 2008 you could by a beer for 6 lira Pizza was 10 lira Buses were 1 lira boat trips were 25 lira so big difference in prices compared to now

Which area in Istanbul sells those SIM cards from turkcell or turk telecom as I could not find reasonable prices I'm here 20th August 2024 ? If you are a manufacturing country, self sustainable and less dependent on the imports for basic goods and raw materials (oil, etc) the fall of currency will not change much of the cost of goods Like what happen here, regardless of the local currency value, the price of goods need constant revision as everything is tied to USD

We went there this summer for the first time and couldn't get over how expensive it was We enjoyed ourselves, but we would never go again or recommend it to other people we know, simply because it is FAR too expensive for the quality of food, accommodation and drink you get there

We are in turkey these days I found hotels and food prices are crazy So far I have visited Istanbul, cappadocia and antalya all super expensive My advice for cappadocia we drove 20 minutes to a city and found good but cheap food as compared to our hotel😊
