STEM degrees tend to be the ticket in and/or along with who you know It's really how well you interview honestly I believe most companies want people who are "green" Having experience certainly gets you in the door However, they want to mold you into what they want for the company "without your ""bad habits"" from other companies I've seen a lot of people with mixed career backgrounds and even no experience land roles Be willing to learn, be willing to start at a lower position Make sure you do your research and understand the company There's countless ways to move up and grow once you're in Especially within 6 months-1 year I've seen it I've been in this industry for almost 5 years I have my MPH, and bachelors in psychology Hence - no formal training in this field It's very possible Good Luck!
