I loved what you shared I have great respect for you, but I’ve lost respect for the grading company Seems they can make up the grading rules as they go , and not be held responsible for any belief that someone can expect an honest evaluation ? Justifying in Exploiting how people innocently put their trust in their grading skills as professional ? Is there small print in any paperwork you sign when you send your coins in ? That states they can not be held liable or accountable for being unethical not doing their job ? This is More than just taking advantage of you ! Do they Believe that this is To no fault of their own, that you trusted in their judgement, Let alone Paid a considerable amount of money in good faith , for a service considered to be exemplary ? Errr… this Pissed me off!! Your coins were beautiful! I’d call them on that! get them graded again reallyhow many people have they screwed over because they were in a hurry or didn’t feel like doing their job ?? Or maybe an employee is exhibiting a god like complex? who’s gonna challenge them ? They are the most expensive of grading services from what I hear This needs to be dealt with properly you deserve an apology & a refund, ask to have them graded by a professional!! ?? I apologize for my outburst! But geez, really!! ?? You have amazing coins!

A slabbed coin is ALWAYs going to be worth more than one that isn't This is especially true for American gold There are a lot of counterfeits/fakes out there--some of which are really really good brSo even when it's a common, a slabbed coin is a solid investment You at least know it's genuine Once slabbed, it will also be preserved at that state forever So you effectively conserved the coin for eternity

You've got some beauties there I have got to disagree with you about ebay It is very difficult for them to vet counterfeits I have bought at least a thousand dollars of fake montblancs and they almost always give me a refund Ill send you one for that fake gold I think they'd find it difficult to try us Your allowed to give them away just not sell them as real

I'm new into the game but the way I look it is it's mine and I'm glad to live with it but my next send in will be a Chucky Cheese token cause much of the restaurants have been closed down and they stopped using coins a while ago so stay positive and keep moving forward

Respect for sharing your experience! I know it's really hard to "grade" the coin by only seeing one or two pictures from one angle You cannot always win, it's an risky investment if you buy ungraded coins online, therefore I only buy graded coins if they are worth more than 100$ Cheers and good luck!

The worst case "buy" is getting a fake coin I avoid this by purchasing ONLY from reputable dealers with excellent reputations I do not buy from ebay or other flotsam and jetsam sites 😊

A very strange highlight, "scratch" Perhaps I just haven't seen too many NGC coins yet, given that I just started the hobby, but I thought they actually docked for hairlines more than they do larger scratches

There are no such thing as good deals when it comes to rare coins or most gold coins in general I dont buy from Ebay unless it's from a reputable company or highly rated seller with 100 percent 5 star ratings Every hobby has lowlifes trying to take advantage but coins and precious metals has more than most Buy smart and educate yourself as much as possible and take the advantage from the scammers

Yes fully aware of NGC UK international coin grading and economics and comical As I sent in an Ibrahim Lincoln copper coin 1943 and also 1933 British copper penneys to NGC international London to be graded I paid for elite membership of NGC UK for coin grading plus further £100 and they was unable to do the job as they made excuses that it was a pgcs, so I sent them an envelope stamp £10 worth of address envelope to myself with chip also witnessed by the post office and many other people apparently they are unable to grade very expensive rare coins like my coins of Abraham Lincoln made out of copper 1943 D and 1933 copper British pennies

I just got through listening to a lecture here on YouTube hosted by Coinweek Magazine on counterfeits, seems China has gotten a hold of actual old US Mint presses and dies and is doing very hard to detect counterfeits that are making there way by the hundreds of thousands into North America

They're all good learning points, sir We have all been there Do not despair Nothing you can do with the counterfeit except report the seller to eBay My other solution is to break open the non-gradable coins from NGC and keep them as bullion I don't buy loose coins on eBay, only graded coins from a well established and reputable seller Stick to local coin shows, local dealers, national conventions, trusted online dealers like apmex, provident metals and numerous others for your future raw coin purchases Last, subscribe to 'Coin World' magazine There are many trusted rare coin dealers who advertise in the magazine
