So now I know how some people have local guide level 9 (never seen anyone with 10) As a local guide of level 6, I have around 100 revievs, obtaining level 9 is spending hundrends of hours on writing revievs unless you use chatgpt for it

I've done several Google reviews If I give a good review it shows up but if I give a bad reveiw only I can see it, if I sign in Google on another account and check, that review is hidden from everyone but the account I posted it frombrI know for a fact Google accept bribes from certain companys to hide their negative reviews and only show the positive ones NEVER trust Google reviews

When I travel I always use the filter/ lowest ratings first Thats the onl, way I found out most ratiings were fake Also, sleays ask about the price and folm it if you can! The best way to find out if the place is actually good is to read the 1 star reviews! When you see the actual bad stuff that people say you’ll get the idea on if it’s a problem with the restaurant/hotel or just frustrated people reviewing 5 stars can be fake but nobody will fake 1 star reviews! :)

Google review is a tremendous help, but do you know what's even better? Locals You will be visiting hotels and taking uber/taxi most of the time, and that is the best time for you to ask locals about good places to go for simply anything I've only had handful of stale experiences doing this, and if you happened to go to backpackers' inn or hostel, the chances of finding good place actually goes up
