I have 2 fake coins that are in pcgs slabs, on the Carson City Morgan the numbers don't come up on pcgs's website, but I also have a 1928 Peace Dollar and the numbers do match to a coin on pcgs's website, but the coin doesn't match the coin in the picture and it says it's worth over 8k dollars and it also shows that it's a coin in someone's collection I was lucky enough to get all of my money back for the coins and I still have them I only use them as a reference to teach my kids and grandkids about fake coins 💯

One of the easiest ways to see that the holder is fake They only put the word Morgan on the holder for one year 1921 to differiant from the 1921 Peace dollar so if the holder is fake, huge chance the coin is too😂

Great educational video Question now is what do you do with the fake? I know it is not your property but as I understand you are not allowed to possess said counterfeit I believe protocol is to call your local Fbi office and they will confiscate Had a friend who collected alll sorts of counterfeits, did seminars and the FBI confiscated his collection Was told they could appreciate his efforts but could not guarantee what would happen to them if they were left in his care

Look at the bonnet on the back of Liberties head If it is smooth with no folds even though it shows a PCGS grade of MS-64, it is a fake or counterfeit

An important subject! brI just got through watching a video on a Counterfeit that was 90 Silver and passed the Sigma test The first thing I did with this video, before he brought it up, is go to PCGS Certificate Verification, put in the number and found out this was fake Personally, for a Silver Dollar, I will only buy Graded, that has a verified number, and I put priority on a coin that has Tru-Vue I study the difference between the unique graded coin, and the picture at the Grading service

Usually the fake coins inside the holder are poorly done They don't match the grade assigned to it and most likely the Chinese counterfeiter has never seen a real coin and slab They usually do assign a designation from 1849-1889 since those are years when the mint made gold dollar coins
