As always, some interesting things to think about when composing an image Coincidentally, I watched a video on a Danish documentary photographer who was speaking of connection with the viewer He took Frank's 'if your photos aren't good enough, you aren't close enough a step further ' you're not close enough emotionally' His thesis is you can't expect a viewer to have an emotional connection if you're own is not evident

Does tintype reverse the image? Either that is the case or all Lisa Elmaleh's musician subjects were left handed brIt adds a bit of eeriness to the work you feature which I like

Alex, can you check the images from Lisa Elmaleh, please? To my eye all the musical instruments are back-to-front A left handed fiddle player? The fifth string on a banjo is normally at the top of the fret board when played right handed, etc This suggests that the images are a mirror image of what they should bebrbrEdit: They're back to front on her web site as well, so it's not your error - if it is an error!

The problem of Lockdown streets is most people could have taken the same photo early on a Sunday morning I know I tried to always add the warning signs and the distancing markers
