My father is studies theologist hes successful pastor retired for 40 years you cant study the theology of bible by yourself you can only make sermon or preaching and read on it but you cant learn without studying theory and theology if someone ask you you cant answer it properly if you cant go study Theoloy

Psychology is not a useless degreebrIt's guaranteed to make so many jobs ten times more accessible than if you didn't have that degreebrTherapy, social worker, clinical psychologist, even stuff like advertising all require knowledge of or, if not an actual certificate in psychology

If you just wanna say you went there, most college class rooms are public places usuallyallowing people who don't even go there to attend lectures fr the prof in these coliseum style large classroom stadiums for 75 or 100 people at a time Cannot get credit or take the test at the end, but you can attend and listen

⁠I majored in Russian Language Studies and what they don’t tell you is that companies and even the government would rather hire native speakers who have other skills than someone who has learned the language as their major I had to go get master’s degrees and also those didn’t help much even though I got both an MS and an MPA Still unemployed! Haven’t worked enough to qualify for disability either At least I’m not in debt because of my parents and full scholarships…

Honestly the main problem with gender studies in my opinion is mostly that while already relatively useless and you being able to learn about it by simply reading books, most jobs that people with gender studies degrees you can get with other degrees that have better job opportunities If for example you're responsible for equality in a major company, you could probably also get that easily with a communications or a business degree If you want to get into politics you can pretty much get any degree whatsoever but political science, sociology or general economics degrees will probably serve you better It really is just way too specific of a topic in a field that's way too easily accessible with way too little available jobs
