I purchased a very old looking Bedouin Marital head scarf with the bride's dowry sewn onto it It has 12 MTTs and many smaller coins The smaller coins are very, very worn the MTTs are very worn, too, but can make out some of the letters The coins have been drilled in order to sew onto the scarf They do have the AVST marking I wonder what value these represented in previous years when they were used for trading The scarf is simple and limited condition I've seen very elaborate ones And, was this considered a value dowry at the time?

Btw, yes there are ways of telling the approximate dates of the restrikes, as well as the originals There are very subtle differences in the coin mainted throughout the years There are a couple of good websites detailing how to tell Overall nice video, but I thought I would correct you saying "there is absolutely no way to tell when these were minted" There is, but you need very good information to spot the differences

Most of The Maria Theresia Coin are restrikes very few are original I have read that less than ten pcs are original and the rest are restrikes Thaler coins are also common in the Middle eastern Countries But i would choose that over a Morgan Dollar because of it's looks very beautiful coin indeed
