sounds like a bunch nerds gate keeping, i think the whole card grading is bunch bull shit, yes some fakes are obvious and some cards are really damaged but most the time its really difficult to grade between 8-10 mint

Lol I have like 12 first edition sdk blue eyes white dragons that I never played with that I put into a flat yugioh card holder book as soon as I took them out of their pack as I did with all of my cards so they’re all in perfect condition I wonder how much my collection is worth I also have a ton of other cards like red eyes black dragons dark magicians injection fairy all sorts of cards multiples of all of them and from different sets and variations of each card even a perfect condition lob blue eyes that would probably get a 9 or 10 PSA

Every pack of cards I’ve gotten have been from inside sealed packages I’ve never gotten cards from sites like wish that sell like 20 packs of cards for only 5$ that was a red flag to me since 20 packs should run you nearly 30-60$

Is a tin of near mint 1996 first edition? Were there any before 1996? I'm sure a super nice blue eye white dragon holofoil bpt009 has to be among the more desirable, has the weird diamond pattern I hope it's a winner, no creases, folds wear on edges, looks like it just came out

Makes me sad that I used to mistreat my cards as a child (not purposefully but ya know kids just dont care about anything lol) I'm going to sort through my old cards and see if I have anything of value, I have a lot of fake cards I know that for a fact lol but do people invest in cards that are in mediocre condition? like worn graphics, bend card, little rips etc?? Or should I just take my chances with taking them into a local 2nd hand store type thing? I'm not sure what cards I have or if I have any of actual value but just overall what are the odds of someone wanting to purchase damaged cards?

Your cards don’t need to be shinny if they’re 1st edition cards from the first handful of sets Some are very very valuable if you started collecting that early Especially LOB and MRD

This was helpful, I found a couple of 1st editions, including some gold shiny rarities, but they're a bit more rare than usual, you see, I never noticed this, but that starter deck I bought almost 15 years ago now, the identification codes were misprinted, the whole deck has mixed codes, which I reckon is more rare than the normal ones, does that make them more valuable? I found a card so rare I can't even find it on the market, it's a golden Anansu, I have a regular Anansu as well, they're very different, can you help me identify what I have? If it's extremely valuable, I will be more than happy to throw some money your way
