Ok, i am watching this video in 2025 looking for a solid solution for a longform video camera as all new mirrorless cams overheat this is a excellent video well done marky anybody got any ideas? camera that can shoot 1080p 30 or 50fps for 2-3 hours straight without falling over? marky?

The APS-C on the VG30 looks smoother to me framerate wise than the VG900 full frame for some reason Not sure if it really is, but it appears that way

I thought the vg900 defaulted to APSC crop for e mount lenses because the FF e mount lenses came after the vg900 I guess thats not the case Amazing

affordable is a bit of a stretch with the VG30 a used one is about 700€ I owned the VG30 but was pretty disappointed when i compared it to the a6000 unusable beyond iso 640-800 700€ for a used one is very overpriced when a used a6000 is about 250€ or 500€ gets you a zv-e10

10:04 that's because the sensor is 3:2 but the screen 16:9 it cut's off the top and bottom to get 16:9 and the zooms in to fit the 16:9 video on to the 16:9 screen

Someone is selling a used VG30 and thought I'd check here first if there is a review I was right, there is one! The VG30 looks like a nice camera to have I have some spare APS-C e-mount glass so it should be good for 350 euros Late to this video but thanks again Markus!

on the JVC LS300 there are some panning shots of glass balls and a horse As I watch those the image stalls and jumps ahead I am not sure what to call it really, but is that common with this camera?

Markus after seeing this video I bought a sony nex VG30 and an atomos ninja 5 The VG30 is not compatible with the ninja 5 can you tell me what will work so I can get the correct one? I know you had the atomos on the VG900 but I figured it would work on the VG30 Thank you for your time

Even today, I totally AGREE I keep flip flopping from Camcorder and to Mirrorless and every time I land happily on camcorder I'm on my 3 Mirrorless DSLR, because I keep thinking there something the "cool kids" know I don't' but they keep heating up, battery dying out the blue, blooming messing around with focus The ONLY, ONLY THING the DSLR have going is that nonsense blurred background - which I noticed I can now manufacture with modern editingand with green screen - which I use a lot - the DSLR is completely useless!
