So not a casio pt 30, that's my favorite lol I hate two things about this channel, one is the confusing keyboards and eletronic pianos Because clearly they do Aleast based off of what most people think of when they think "keyboard" And the second thing, what is an actual beginner "keyboard" It's definitely not anything of the prices they recommend She must have grown up with money To her a 1000 dollars is the cheap stuff lol Comment from : @ArtistDaynz90 |
Great info, thanks! For people who are looking for a less expensive beginner alternative, I just purchased AODSK Digital Piano B-83S, an 88-weighted key digital piano with a nice black upright piano looking stand (with designer music shelf) for our recent college graduate She has some musical experience We wanted something that looks and sounds great, but not too expensive, in case she loses interest and we have to sell it I also bought the matching padded bench and the whole thing looks great! Better than just a keyboard, or keyboard with an 'X' stand Total cost (2024) $400 Comment from : @Paul-lm5gv |
Hello Which do you think is the better choice, the Yamaha NP-15B or the Roland GO:PIANO? Comment from : @jdjsjsjr8 |
88 is the minimum keys… trust me, u dun want to be changing octaves up and down ur piano when u r playing different pieces, it’s annoying and eventually u will wish u had just gotten 88 keys in the first place… Comment from : @Gunbardo |
Is the Casio cpd s110 good… Comment from : @broadwayy2364 |
Casio CDP-S100?🤔😒 Comment from : @warriorson7979 |

I think alot of the comments on here are finding that the prices for these "entry level keyboards" are too high, but remember these arent midi controllers, theyre actually fully stand alone instruments, with speakers, samples, and some probably have record and playback features built in, add in weighted, touch sensitive keys that there are 88 and that these are Canadian prices not US and these start to sound pretty resonable (with the exception of that Casio, that seems too high for something that wont last the test of time) I think her choices were pretty decent for the features needed in a keyboard to ensure learning it is both fun, and consistent with the same skills an acoustic piano would be adjusted too Comment from : @Xanderfied |
I feel like with Casio if you dont spend at least $1k its just going to disappoint you in the end In terms of both sample quality, reliability, and feature set Yahmaha however, even the base models sound like you paid way more than you actually did for the keyboard, they are better build quality, and have a more robust feature set The pro, or intermediate Yamaha models do often cost more than a Casio of the same level, but the difference in price to performance is instantly noticeable Yamaha has entry level keyboards for very reasonable prices that blow the competition (with the exception of maybe Korg, or Roland) out of the water You can also notmally find used Yamaha keyboards fairly easy that are in excellent condition, way cheaper than buying a new model Comment from : @Xanderfied |
I bought a Roland FP-10 :) Comment from : @sonata2u |

Thanks for the video & guiance As a long-time accordian player I've decided to start playing around on the piano Your video was really helpful and I think that I will likely choose the Yamaha P125 or the you recommended While I can read music pretty well, moving from 120 base buttons to striking keys with my left fingers seems daunting Moreover, the thumb is rarely (never) used with accordian so this should be great fun Comment from : @livefree6455 |
I'm thinking about getting a glarry 101 but I'm not sure if it's good for a beginner keyboard Comment from : @mouse2482 |

I went to a store that has Casio PX-S7000 and tried playing Moonlight Sonata 1st Movement softly on it, but the black keys and white keys near the felt were difficult to press down I tried the Casio GP-310 and Roland FP-90X and they didn't have such issue so I wonder if the PX-S3000 has the same issue Comment from : @winterheat |

2 years later prices are so so up :( Comment from : @dmiportion |
The Yamaha P125 is a much more balanced sound, but, you need to be aware of a quality issue that has been reported by a significant number of owners—one of whom, sadly, is me What is happening is extra, unwanted note sounds while playing the keyboard Sometimes a single random note, but sometimes a quickly repeating note I’m taking mine in for service, and I’ll provide an update when I have more info A check of the Internet shows that others are also reporting this problembrbrThis is a shame because the Yamaha is definitely a better sounding keyboard when compared to the others To my ear, the Roland is way too bright, and the Casio, while improving, is not yet equal to the other two keyboards Comment from : @jeffvair62 |
Sorry but these are NOT begginer keyboards lmfao, begginer is something in the 200$ range Comment from : @DHD10000 |

Gotta say my monthly salary is 300 dollars So to buy these beginner pianos, I will have to wait for around 5 months (or more), fckin poverty 😭😭😭 Comment from : @huoyuhao2664 |

My dad bought me an upright from a neighbor around the corner for $150 years ago when I was younger They were emptying the house and didn't know what to do with it, and we ended up literally wheeling it down the street Obviously it's extremely heavy and that's definitely a huge consideration, but budget wise it's a no-brainer I've heard of people giving them away often times because they're just so heavy and awkward to move, and usually need at least a tuning and some minor repair, but the sound is "real" and unbeatable No cables, no speakers, no modes, just piano If you look it at as a relationship with an instrument you will have for years to come, and the initial effort to get one in your home is something you can give (maybe with the help of a friend or two), it's worth it If it's a viable option for you I would highly recommend Oh, and my house is only about 900 sq ft, but honestly the footprint of an upright isn't much bigger than that of a quality digital board - something to consider Comment from : @jesse_knows_nothing |

Patrick WallbrI have a Casio PX 3100 and they say this about this keyboard as well that the black keys have not an exact weight point Do you know what? I never had any problem with playing the keys whatsoever It never even entered my mind that something with the keys wasn't right More the opposite: When I play the piano it feels absolutely smooth and fine When I tried the piano in a music store I just loved it how fine and exact the keys responded to my touch and this was one of the important features that made me buy this piano The feel is great I never had a problem neither with the black nor with the white keys or with both combined Before you ignore this fantastic keyboard I recommend you to go in a store and try it You will find out for yourself that I told you the truth Comment from : @peternemeth1777 |

What about MIDI keyboard with comparable sensitivity and feel? I’d like to develop the expressiveness of a piano player, but to control and play through a DAW I’m thinking of something like Nektar GXP61, which claims to have good sensitivity and semi-weighted keys I don’t want to train my fingers to move on an acoustic piano, but I’d like something that can capture the dynamic range and help develop dexterity Any recommendations? Thanks Comment from : @a0um |
