Being a true novice investor and recently retired with limited funds All I have is a checking account paying 002 As far as "passive" investing - what about this strategy? Buying a $1000 12-month CD paying 3 every month for 12 months (kind of a "ladder strategy") I calculate that I'd end up with $30 each month in dividends (totaling $360 in interest for the year); But what if someone was able to do $10,000 a month following the same strategy?
