Interesting, I guess the first step is have the balls to ask, and have some amount of research done (know your client); in my opinion its even more important how you phrase these things especially early on in your career Im interested to learn how these types of “strategic ideas” are presented, you want the CEO to feel empowered by the knowledge you know, not like hes spending time with a young know it all who probably has less life experience

The only things I disagree is regarding all the intimate investment into a relationship with a client and being available for them 24/7 1 You need to set boundaries most of the time matters are never as urgent as they seem to be 2 A client can drop you at the drop of a hat for any multitude of reasons no matter how much you’ve nurtured the relationship on the other hand your not there to be a clients friend, your a professional doing business You don’t want to put yourself in any precarious situations because the client is your “friend”
