Every attempt I have made forces me into my existing account and just creates a 'Self Managed / General' pot vs 'Self Managed / Business' pot, like yours Cannot locate any help on this on InvestEngine's pages Nath

Be careful with this Money made trading is taxable whilst interest income isn't, so its likely not worth your time putting it into a money market fund if you can find a decent paying savings account

Twiglet zone video! i am right in the middle of opening a AJ Bell Ltd Co investment account! A bit laborious to get your paperwork and LEI number etc but getting there, Their cost are higher than Invest Engine but i like the fact they are very well known and more human than these online variants well done on finding a topic that is not very well covered on youtube 👍👍

I invest a portion of my limited company's money into ETF's via an Invest Engine business account So far so good BUT, personally, I find it a little less user friendly than the T212 interface and the trades take a little longer to process than I was used to on T212 Sometimes ETF's aren't available to buy but if you message IE and ask them to make it available they usually do

2:15 in and surprise me to hear you say you get nothing with Monzo? I’m also with them and they do 16 in business savings account last I checked, you’re correct 0 in current account but 16 in savings and easy to transfer between Still terrible I know but not nothing like stated!

Whoa - you need to be careful here: You have to ensure that the level of “investment activity” is minor relative to your main trade, or it can seriously muck up your accounting and tax treatment, and any Business Asset Disposal Relief (formerly Entrepreneur’s Relief) - Don’t treat You Tube as financial advice… talk your own situation through fully with your tax advisors and accountants first!

Great video - thank you May I ask, if the platform company such as InvestEngine collapses - is the money protected (eg like the £85K FSCS) I know of course that the values of shares will go up and down and there is of course no protection against that but what happens if the platform collapses If I got say £500K to invest in shares would it be better to splt it across platforms to gain any protection (if there is) as I might do with cash deposits

I use Invest Engine also As I want to keep the funds in cash, like you, I have mine invested in the Lyxor MMF I'm happy with the returns I did invest in alts And lent money to developers, but in the end this became a hassle
