I think if the pandemic didn't happen you would see the big three add five to fifteen more titles to their tally Federer might be at 108, Nadal at 102, and Djokovic at 114 But Federer and Nadal also had injuries while Djokovic refused to do the right thing and be a classy sportsman I'll never forget him smashing racquets, hitting a lineswoman with a ball, always overly emoting after winning, and not getting vaccinated On the other hand, I've never seen someone be like Federer on or off the court IMHO, he's the true GOAT

I'm not an expert, but it is apparent that, if you don't count whoever tennis player's career you want from 25 to 30 years old like you should do with Laver, he comes easily as the best And when somebody names the recent big 3 he should keep in mind the pro tournaments he won playing against people like Rosewall and Gonzales So I think it's not correct to include him in this list

If Novak wanted to take my advice, he should have focused on ATP 250 tournaments in this final part of his career He would have managed to win 11 such tournaments in two years and surpass Connors' record But Novak wants to compete with young tennis players from 20 to 25 years old at the age of 38

If Novak played small, 250's tournaments, like Connors and Federer did, he would be record holder long time ago It is not about the number of ATP tournaments it is about a level of difficulty The list should be made of ATP points reached in their carriers

If Novak had participated in more tournaments since 2020, he could have easily surpassed Connors by now The problem is he is so choosy and plays only big tournaments primarily focusing on slamsbrbrThat is the reason his 99 title haul is far better than 109 of Connors and Federer Qualitatively he won a record 73 big titles compared to just 54 for Federer

I guess the masters titles of past players especially before 1990 are not accurate The ATP 1000 started from 1990 onwards, before that it's difficult to assume which are ATP 1000, ATP 500 or ATP 250 titles
