Many years ago, I came to the exact same conclusions as this video I even used the same term “process oriented” to describe it When I was operating in the process oriented mode, I was far more productive In my theory, there is a progression from “task-oriented” to “goal-oriented” to process-oriented”, each one being more productive than the previous one The “goal-oriented” person will have tasks, but the goal is most important The “process-oriented” person will have both goals and tasks, but the process is what is most important In a way, the goal of the “process-oriented” person is just to be engaged in the processbrbrOne indicator that I have found of when someone is “process-oriented’ versus “goal-oriented” is how they handle setbacks The goal oriented person will become angry, because the goal is now further away The process oriented person will just take it in stride, and may even explore the reason and nature of the setback For the process oriented person, the setback is neither good not bad, it just changes the nature of the task Sometimes if the setback provides further insights or a chance to explore something new, the process oriented person may see it as an exciting opportunity rather than a setback They are still engaged in the process, so they are still happybrThe story of Roentgen’s discovery of x-rays is a good illustration of this brbrOne problem that I have found is when goal oriented people supervise process oriented people The goal oriented person has a hard time accepting the process as being important and will try to shut down the process oriented person to make them goal oriented This can ruin the productivity of the process oriented person For example things such as common core and excessive testing in school will tend to shut down any process oriented students, and make them ineffective

I used to work at a private school as a brPre-K 3-4 teacher's assistant for about 8 yearswe practiced differentiated teaching because we realized all kids don't learn the same some kids had to use all of their senses to learn very hands on and active! Lol! I had those kids mostly, and we had a BLAST💖 Lol! I'm sorry, but this doesn't apply for everyone in every learning situation The conclusion made in this video makes the assumption that the learner already has the motivation to complete the task If there is lack of motivation a clear goal is important This goal of course have to be split into alot of smaller ones to keep motivation at bay

The best way of learning is by repetition so I agree with you that is better to study 30 min a day than 5 hours a week but generally if you want to learn sth quickly do learn everyday as much as you can and make it interesting for example as a rewarding for yourself after study for 30 min eat a bar of chocolate or whatever you like and what is important keep being focused on doing a task

this is what i always do but people tell me that it s too chaotic i do it anyway because i function better without having a to do list or a specific chapter to revise It s not point for me to make a schedule: all i keep in mind is that the day shall not end without me studying for at least 30 minuteswhen i do it, that depends on my mood hehebrIf you re more on the improvising side, liking to keep options open, this method is the best for you! :)
