i'm 29 and i've been writing journals from me to myself for the last couple months, i've always enjoyed literature and it has always amazed me the delicacy and elegance in it, used to write songs, rhymes, phrases and keep it all to myself, these last days i was trying to write something about how my day went but it turned out that nothing really interesting happened so i wrote nothing and that was when i thought to myself "why don't i create a story that me and other people would enjoy?" so i started to write my story and i want to turn it into a novel, it is my first try at something like this, wish me luck guys, one day i will return to this video and share the outcome! Hi Jerry this is a wonderful speech, it has a long lasting value and a lot of other people did already highlighted this: you need to remove the background music! brit kills the concentration; I had to make a serious effort to keep the sentences together in my mind because of the music, I'm sure a lot of other people gave up way before the end Proof-listening a video is like EDITING A BOOK before publishing!

Biggest suggestion should be: write what you think you'd want to read and enjoy Dont think ok twilight is popular let's make that even though I don't like thatIf you are excited the reader will be You have to trust that you enjoy and critique well That said if you're constantly at odds with critics and audiences on reviews and write a story maybe your taste can be improved You could be too picky or too future thinking but generally if you hate all mainstream mediayou make a book, and it will be thatnonmainstream which is fine but a little defeatist
