My cellular data is switched off for every app I have (including FaceTime) in my settings, but I FaceTimed someone for 1 hour and 4 minutes and it took up 7811 MB Does this mean I’ll get charged extra???

i thought it would depend on what you actually do during face time like a video that show a still image would definitely use less data than with a background that's constantly changing still a good estimate i suppose

That's not a lot of data It varies A LOT since FaceTime changes quality and compression on the play For ex I just about 250MB for a 90 min FaceTime to my mom

I don't think this is a realistic analysis of how much data FaceTime would use Since FaceTime compresses the video it really doesn't use much bandwidth when nothing is happening and since this FaceTime call was pretty one-sided there's a chance that a more realistic version of this would use about double as much data
