Thank you algorithm for pushing your video into my feed I'm a native Spanish speaker and speak English fluently, no thanks to Duolingo, but my dad has been studying English in the app for 1 consistent year now, so that kinda prompted me to click on this I was very pleasantly surprised!! La verdad es que tu español suena muy bien para solo haberlo desarrollado con Duolingo, los errores que cometes son errores que normalmente tienen personas que hablan inglés y quieren aprender español, me has motivado para utilizar Duolingo! ya lo había hecho, pero posiblemente no llegué muy lejos porque las lecciones usualmente son muy simples, sin embargo, viendo las lecciones que mostraste me resultan muy interesantes! muchas gracias

i already learned English and French the normal way, and after watching this video i am definitely using Duolingo to learn a new language (not only Duolingo because i want to reach a C2 level)brbut basically, as a normal person who just wants to communicate with others, Duolingo is fine but I don't want to stop therebr( French and Spanish are too close,this is what i am going in this order But the real challenge will be German or Russian)

Duolingo isnt to learn a language for like 2000 days its only for like 7-8 weeks to learn the basics it will not learn a full language

It’s so interesting to see the same characters and they sound completely different 😂I’m learning Italian and their voices are different lol I find speaking everything out loud even when it’s not a speaking exercise has helped me retain so much more!

I know people who been using Duolingo for years and still don't know diddly squat I tried it (even bought premium) and hit Gold several times It helped a bit with some vocabulary here & there, but I had to let it go because it just wasn't getting me therejust felt too gamified And I don't have time for games I'm grown with limited time and need to progress as fast as possible Plus trying to maintain that streak was driving me insane!! lol

If you learn spanish for 15 per day for 2000 days only on duolingo that is 30k hours and The US Foreign Service Institute 1 estimates that it takes 600-750 class hours For another comparison it takes 2200 hours or 88 weeks of active learning if you are an English speaker to speak mandarin In the time you learned a bit of spanish you could have learned 10 different languagase so yeah duolingo is a waste of time

Cool video, but just want to point out that you chose a language that is close to your own, and that was the best-case scenario The result would vary depending on the native language of the learner and the target language For example, if you chose a Slavic language like Russian or Ukrainian, you would have a lot more trouble getting to the level you are now

I decided to learn Italian this year Bought books and flashcards At the befgining it was ok But I reach for the books very rare Thanks to Duolingo I study one hour minimum every day It seems to be repetitive but after a week I realized how many words I learned and how easy it is for me to form easy sentences When I don’t understand my mistake I ask chat GPT and it explains me I bought Duolingo super not to be distracted with ads I carry on with learning Hope I will get better before my vacation in Italy this year

I could understand basically everything that was written but I struggled to understand the audio, but the only doing homeschooled high school Spanish for 30-45 minutes once a week only during the school year so its taken you 1000 days to get to above my level so I would say that kinda works but people can learn a language alot more quickly by doing other things but I do get that you trying to proof a point that it does work

As a native spanish speaker, your spanish is good, the something I noticed about the hearing lessons though is that most of the time people doesnt speak like that in real life and they are a lot of accents in spanish, way more than they are in english so that can be a little difficult too
