For me the most impressive gold coin ever minted is the commemorative 100 drachmai of King George II of Greece Its simple with not exaggerations and that is what makes it so aesthetic Most other gold coins that are considered masterpieces are simply too overdone

Considering the Solomon Islands face value and being such a novel piece, I would hazard a guess that it was done by Powercoin mint Perhaps part of the deal was to keep the marketing focus on the Taj Mahal aspect
