I subscribe to the Grey sheet mainly because that's what my LCS uses I find the Redbook too be a great resource for coin info but feel their pricing is over inflated I compare the Grey sheet, PCGS, NGC, ANACS, Ebay, and auction results Depending on the coin, I usually average out the pricing from aforementioned area's Nice video Subscribing

Would you care to comment on Graysheet pricing for modern (post-1964) proof sets, mint sets, commemoratives and proof American Silver Eagles, and why nearly all dealers I talk to will offer to pay 30 to 75 under bid The problem I see is that the Graysheet doesn't lower the bids for such material to reflect the actual market I like Ike !!! - especially in the business-strike copper-nickel clad issues that were intended for commerce These are very under-appreciated, as several dates / mints / varieties are extremely scarce to rare in PCGS OGH Mint State-65, -66, -67 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should do a video on PCGS survival estimates I’m not talking about population reports It’s a known fact that pop reports aren’t reliable because people crack out & resubmit coins all the time (yourself included) But how reliable are survival estimates? Apparently a panel of “experts” estimate the survival rate of coins

You are correct PCGS/NGC guides do seem to want to artificially inflate the market Always a bad tactic But good to collect insurance in case of loss I guess

I agree I think PCGS and NGC are both inflated you have to be very careful some of the auctions lately are way way too high on the prices they are getting from people I feel some of these auctions take advantage of peoples impulse buying thanks for the video
