I just really makes me upset to see photos and video of the garbage up there But it really pisses me off to hear about the porters and Sherpas who die up there, and how little they get paid I understand that people get paid less in “developing countries” but when people are paying between $50,000 and $100,000 to climb Everest, it is beyond infuriating that porters get paid $20 a day, to risk their lives, while Sherpas are paid, at most, $5000 per season (which is guiding multiple groups, GROUPS!) of wealthy or sponsored climbers

This reminds me of that Malaysian climber who nearly died but was rescued by Gelje Sherpa Even after being rescued from death, this climber DIDN’T mention this Sherpa’s name in his appreciation post!!! Who does that!! Who does that!!! People have absolutely no ounce of gratitude They think money can buy everything!! Thank you for bringing all this to our attention Everything you say is totally true The sherpa’s literally give their life for those that choose to climb Even the ones that are not trained to climb As for the trash, that is deplorable They allow too many climbers permits at one time I climbed Mt Whitney in California They only allowed 10 permits per day and there was NO TRASH LEFT ON TOP I believe the 400 or so permits is outrageous for Mt Everest These climbers say they love the mountains so why do they trash it?
