Head to head comparison, I managed software developers Only one Uni educated was as good as the self taught The self taught were more flexible, knew more languages and were just as dedicated BTW as their boss I was a college dropout but read voraciously I have a very well rounded understanding of network and desktop systems including lots of flavors of Linux Most of all I know how to translate tech so C suite people understand and approve budgets I have no problem with the college guys but so much of their training focuses on areas not specific to their jobs
