I'm brazillian, and I had a hard time doing the listening sample c1 from cambridge site I was very frustrated at the end, because I am able to understand english very well, but during the test I could understand 60 or less Is there anything specific that I should do to get prepared for this test? Hi Steve, I'm Mark from Perú, I am 67 years old and Iam a psychologies for 35 years, in this moment I am retired, I worked in the Police Institute for 32 years I have learned the english language for my self using YouTube since 2020 But I am not feel fluenty yet, why, I don't know, although I can read, lisent music, wacht tv, podcast, breaking news etc I always to look for persons for to talk with them, I speak well, Iam sure that my pronunciation is correct, but I don't feel very fluenty, for that, I think that the procces is step by step, I must to have patient, many patient Do you give me some advices ? please I have studied very hard , for 12 hours every day, because the english language for my is a passion Ok My friend, thanks a lot for your time See you next oportunity, SO LONG, BLESSINGS

My method is audio transcription I listen to a 5min video orsong on Spotify, transcribe what I hear, go back over the video with subtitles to see how accurate I was

I'm feeling so relaxed now after knowing that trying again and again and understanding lesser and improving gradually is a normal thing Also we should not focus on understanding everything and rather move on towards the new content and if I recall how I learned my native language as I grew up, so I can relate your teaching with that also because in my childhood, many words and phrases didn't make any sense to me as I didn't understand them but still I (just like everyone around me) was able to speak and understand the language and now I understand every or almost every word or phrase that I didn't understand in my childhood while watching movies or shows So yes, I guess the same thing goes with English also because if I analyse my English learning so far, I can say that many words and phrases which I didn't understand earlier, now make a lot of sense to me and are easily understood by me Thanks sir, you are such a great teacher God bless
