Hey David, Samples sound too as the same, all sounding like full strength or like it hasn't sensitive sensors The hihat doesn't sound like you're varying the strength in the hits although the video shows it Does it really has no sensitivity, does it has a sensitivity calibration, or you were just hitting too hard and sensors were getting full hit, maybe because you use to play on acoustic drums while using phones?brGreat video, I considering order one of those Comment from : Franklin Lisboa (formerly Tokurei) |
12:38 Territory from Sepultura reference? Comment from : Franklin Lisboa (formerly Tokurei) |

I like to do all kinds of goofy ghost note stuff on the snare in a lot of my grooves, how well does that snare pad respond to that kind of sticking? Also, how well do the other pads respond to double stroking and such in general? I'm moving into an apartment next month and I'm thinking about that kit, so I'd really like to know I bought the top of the line Simmons kit back in the 80's, spent a shitload of money on the gear (including some custom made stuff), got it home, plugged it in, ran through all the functions, played it for a while,,,,,,,,, and absolutely HATED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT! Every horrible sound it made the feel the response etc It sat in the corner for 10 years till I got rid of it Stop signs from hell I've always felt e drums are loathsome in general, so tell me true, can I practice my really funky sticking on it There are earlier versions of the 200 on reverb that have metal rims and a completely different brain box It also has an expansion port for an extra cymbal pad, does the new brain have it too? Sorry for the novel length comment but I'd really like to know I don't have a choice but to do this now, can't avoid the e kit any longer Comment from : Roger Weiland |

no idea why youtube suggested this video to me, but I've been playing with the idea of getting an e-kit for a long time Never played drums, baldy play guitar, but always wanted to try it Only thing that kept me from doing so is my "buy the best you can afford" and the price tag that comes with it (Roland kits etc) This is a much nicer price point, but w/o seeing the video I'd have never considered it, figured it's junk Seems quite nice for a total beginner who might not stick with it, I might just have to order me one of these, thanks for the review! Comment from : Wuffelpuff |
Do you have access to the thomann music store in the states? Cause if so, i dont know why you would buy Donner Thomann has a house brand called Millennium and they offer more for the money Comment from : A k |

It's funny how with a cheap e drum kit you get your pedals and whatnot and with the more expensive ones you do not, like with my Roland TD-50K2 i got everything except for a hi-Hat stand, basdrum pedal and snare stand which are all 3 required to make the kit work oh and ofcourse a throne and headphones aren't included either Comment from : katycatjulius |
According to the late Buddy Rich, you hold your drum sticks wrong Comment from : Jim Wright |
Your song jams were pretty entertaining🎵👍 Comment from : Mainsail Sound |
I played a e-kit at my old apartment The big challenge was cymbals You just couldn't get a decent hi hat stick/foot interaction, and it was tough to find cymbals that were acoustically quiet: the whole hollow plastic thing was still pretty loud If I move back to an apartment, I'll spend some more time with it, but the L80/Aquarian OnHead (which can act as triggers) route is pretty good for now Comment from : John Miller |
I use the Alesis Forge and while fun, has some software issues Mainly the kick missing triggers and the right cymbal choking when it shouldn't Customer service was no help Wouldn't buy another one tbh Comment from : BL_Kamaji |
These E-Kits are ok, I have the previous version Donner 200, the problem is they're so small it's like playing a children's instrument And there's no beating the feeling of playing actual drums Can't wait to sell my kit Comment from : Cameron |
Not gonna lie, that looked like it was pretty fun ^^ Comment from : Jubb |

I had a decent Roland digital kit for a while, it was a fantastic practice kit But the BIG, BIG problem with electronic kits is that hell, no, parts for them are not at all available the way they are for acoustic kits The snare sensor in my Roland wore out because somebody kept hitting it with a stick, and I discovered that the only way to "fix" it was to buy a new snare unit thing for about $300 No spare parts were available through typical music shops at all That was the end of that $900 investment, I sold it off for $80 A touring drummer whose digi kit fails over something like that is boned, unlike an acoustic drummer, who can just run to any music store for fresh heads if theirs wear out You also suddenly need a huge, heavy, expensive amp to do any serious live playing, not needed with acoustics They're cool, but they have big problems Comment from : JeredtheShy |
That rug really ties the kit together Comment from : Slidey |
I’m no drummer, but that doesn’t sound bad, when played skillfully like you did Comment from : ZillaYT |

Something that i'm not so sure it was addressed is do the cymbals have different sensitivity? Because the pads seem to have some velocity, but I didn't seem to notice a lot of it in the video? Would love your input on this because im looking for an affordable one for my father so he can accomplish his dream Comment from : Rufo CS |
