Hi Matthew, I am trying to follow your great examples and have run into a snag with the #N/A errors I have entered a $ in front of the row and the column and this still does not fix my problem after entering the $ signs and F4 I attempt to drag the formula down and excel drags the same result for each column PLEASE HELP!

If you want to have vlookup work properly for the college/GPA example you must put 0 or FALSE The default (ie if you put nothing this is what excel does automatically), which is used in the video, is 1 (TRUE) which does NOT give an exact match, and in fact the values found are incorrect Similarly, for the first example, it is possible to use the second "Wrong Table", as long as you put -1 as the last argument of vlookup

For the student ones you dont have to sort out the table When building a vlookup formula, you do want to put false at the end of the formula so the exact match will appear
