I know about a lady that her husband left her and she used the credit card points to survive She talked to people she knows and told them, “if you are buying something cash, give me the cash and I’ll pay with my credit card,” so, I’m not sure I align with Ramsey’s take on credit card points

The thing with the credit cards is not the same thing as gambling-because you aren’t spending the money to get the sticky hands You-and I mean you personally, Dave-are definitely already spending the money If you use the card to buy the things you already are and must buy already The cash back bonuses and percentage off of the things you buy work on groceries and gas Nobody said they were trying to become millionaires doing it Using credit cards this way can and does work We don’t use them to go on vacations, but dozens of people I know use them to benefit by charging things that they are already needing to buy I know you think I’m an arrogant fool (because you just told me you did, while mocking everyone), but you’re wrong It makes me not recommend you to people because you are so rude and unkind-as well as arrogant Wrong is not why, although you are, because everyone is wrong about some things Your argument doesn’t even address the issue Do people who are millionaires say using credit cards is how they got money? Doesn’t really mean millions say it doesn’t help or work, even Not having any credit keeps people from renting a car and buying a house Exactly who damage do you claim is done to this person who wrote in saying they use the credit cards and pay off the balance every month, never carrying a balance or paying any interest? Because you never said-you just dodged the question, made stuff up to mock them, and were being a condescending drama queen BTW, being condescending is about the most unchristian thing a person can do If you care about people you don’t talk down to them-even when you are giving them hard truths and being blunt

I’m just going to be funny about “the bass boat”: Mr Dave made it clear the emergency fund is not “for the bass boat” The first thing that popped into my mind was, “the bass boat could be a weekend transitional fund item”!! If you pay your bills with your credit card and pay them off every month that is very much gaming the system lol It is only an issue if people charge things on their card they have no money for Simple I don't do that I pay in full every month with the money I would have otherwise spent using a debit card

Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got to talking about investment and money I started investing with $150k and in the first 2 months, my portfolio was reading $274,800 Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and get more interesting For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit

Planning ahead can really minimize taxes! I've made a smart reinvestments, especially with some great guidance from a pro for a half year now, and it's been a game changer I was able to reinvest my RMD strategically, and I'm now pulling in about $25k a week, despite doing very little trading myself It's a nice cushion against financial stress Best of luck with your RMD decisions!

I'm more of a psychologist than a financier, but I think the reason people go for the "rewards for trips" thing, "frequent flyer, " etc gimmicks is for those people who are going to go on vacation or fly ANYWAY and they like getting at least some money back for it On the surface, this argument is logical but if and ONLY IF you have already budgeted for the trip with cash or non-credit methods and you get back a few dollars you can stash in return It's the same psychology that makes people spend at a store sale when they were NOT going to buy the item until they saw the sale The only way it's a deal is if that jacket, purse, or side of beef was already in your budget Hope this helps

They can’t give the correct answer because it goes against everything they teach But if you put a little on a card each month and pay it off immediately, basically using it as a middle man Your credit will rise Try to get your score up to secure a low interest mortgage
