I hope it does well, but I have little to no interest in the film The original benefitted from being a leap in CG This one has some things that look amazing but there's still part of the main characters' faces that look sort of blank and not quite as good as they should

Even if it doubles it it's gonna be largely due to ticket price inflation because we saw that Black Panther 2 actually lost 40 of its audience opening weekend compared to the 1st one when you factor in the difference between average ticket prices now and in 2018 It will be likely even worse for Avatar because average prices were much lower when it was released Looking at the gross is one thing but when you look at tickets sold for Black Panther 2 it tells you a different story And I'm betting the same will be true for Avatar 2

I personally didn't care for the first one and I wont be seeing this one because it still doesn't interest me but I'm sure it will do well, especially outside of the USbrbrThe real problem with Avatar 2 is that James Cameron recently stated that this movie needs to do a top box office of all time, if it's going to be profitable brbrThat's a lot of pressure for any film and I fear he may have spent too much time/money on developing new technology when he could have simply waited and gotten similar results
